I am about to make my first attemt at reupostery .Other than taking my time can anyone offer any suggestions . trying to find things to read on dos and dont .
The one question I do have is it is a breakfast nook I am doing from Germany the backs and seats are nailed to the framing
would they have done this with a nail gun
I can email photos if it makes it easyer to understand

You likely will not discover how the nook upholstery is attached until you start to dismantle. Pull back edges of the attached cushions to see if you can see how they were attached. Dismantle carefully, because you will want to use the existing fabric panels as patterns for cutting the new upholstery.
There are manual and electric staple guns available. The following pneumatic stapler is popular among upholsterers.
