ok so weve taken off all the wood panelling in our bedroom and there is sheetrock underneath that we plan on texturing and painting. there are a bunch of those thin nails used to hold the paneling on the wall that didnt come out. im going to pull all of them out, but what about the little holes they leave? do i have to mud over all of them? if we use a primer, will that fill in the hole enough to paint without a problem? thanks for any help.

Primer/paint won't fill the holes, you need to fill them with spackling or joint compound.
