My boyfriend works in a pizza restaurant. He has flour (or maybe its the cornmeal) on him every day and it plasters itself all over the tub. It is a gray powdery/pasty substance and it is ridiculously hard to get rid of. Also, it slows the drain. Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of this more easily?

the garden hose before he comes in the house.

He needs to be careful. If he is bringing this much flour home with him, the boss may suspect he is stealing flour.

just think though, if he has this much left on him after he takes off his clothes, imagine how gunked up your washer drain is getting.

i would say almost the same thing...he needs to do some wiping off or something

when i sand drywall i take the shop vac to my clothes before washing...that may also be an idea..as for the tub and drain...a good soft scrub type cleaner will help get it off..you have to rinse it down with alot of water well after the shower or tub to keep the drain going good...go with a good enzyme based drain cleaner to get it going again..

Boyfriend needs to rinse the tub/shower well after using in order to prevent the flour from drying into a hard paste. Purchase a squeegie and put him in charge of cleaning up the mess himself. Before leaving work, he needs to wash up to remove the flour as he can from his body. He could also carry a change of clothes to slip into before returning home. The clothes with flour can be placed in a bag and shook outdoors before washing.

Bakers asthma is one of the most commonly reported lung diseases in the baking industry. Care should be taken to prevent breathing flour dust. Employees should be provided with respiratory protection. Work area should be well-ventilated.
