Have 5" wide T&G solid SYP flooring....I am considering both Glue and staples

Staples will be applied 1 at every joist...and... 1 inbetween every joist

I was thinking PL polyurethane or subfloor adhesive, Applying1 bead approx. 1/4" thick down the center and the full length of each board.

It is a conditioned crawlspace below ... so no worries about moisture coming from below.

Any advice or alternates on this plan?

thanks...paul

What are we talking about here? You installing the subfloor, or a hardwood? If hardwood, what type?

If its just your subfloor, glue and screw, no staples. PL400 is a good adhesive.

.

It is flooring. The type is 3/4" thick X 5 1/4" wide X 10' long solid heart pine.
