my husband is great-- flipped washer & dryer to the garage from "enclosed laundry room" now we want to make the old laundry room into a pantry-- building the shelving ourselves-- any ideas-- we do not want the ready made shelving-- thanks,nanny

Welcome to the forums! Building your own shelving will be a great feat, and should look good. If you have a door on the closet, you will really find the metal shelving units much more adaptable, easier to install, sturdy, and clean looking. BUT, if you want to make shelving, give us some of the measurements you have inside the closet and let us look at it.
