I have cinder block interior walls in my home I am just moving into. I am looking for a finish that I can do. I am a rookie at these doityouself projects. My walls are now cold and look schoolish or government office type feeling (plain) . I have a den, dinning area, bedrooms and bathroom all are painted concrete cinder block walls. I want something warm that feels like a home. Maybe Tuscan style or Mediterranean style. There are a lot of windows in the house and I have a large block stone (Lewder stone)fire place with red flag stone hearth and entry hall. There is copper in the kitchen (hooded vent and backing) and natural knotty aged yellow pine kitchen cabinets the I am stripping and considering green wood staining. In the den there is dark built in shelves and desk/cabinets. What can I do to my walls that is not going to cost much and how can I do it being a rookie??...help

Hi,
My name is RichSchmidt and I too have a bare cinder block interior wall that needs some kind of simple, cement- look.
My building is 30 years old and not cracks.
Do you have an answer for me?
