Hello,
I just bought a home and am trying to strip some paint off some old wooden cabinets in my kitchen.
The paint will actually peel off on some of the cabinets, but not every little crevace.
I used CitriStripper and Odorless Mineral sprits on the other cabinets, using a paint scraper, stripping brush, and rags to wipe away the little bits of wet paint left over.
This method resulted in lots of wet paint pieces being left over and forming chunks on the cabinets and when I tried to wipe them off, the paint just smeared into the wood.
Things are complicated because the wood has been stained under the paint and both the stain and paint may be oil based, as water does not work at all to remove anything.
Any advice would be appreciated. I know it's a simple task, but the way it's going, I feel like I am trying to reinvent the wheel here.

I don't do a lot of stripping but generally paint that doesn't remove with the intial stripping/scraping has the stripper reapplied, let work and scrape again.
How do you intend to finish the cabinets? restain? paint?
