there is a crack/separation on our laminate wood floors in the kitchen. is there any type of sealant or something to fix it?

They make sealants for laminate floors. Have you checked in the flooring dept of a big box store?
Has the crack always been there? I would want to know of the underlying floor problem, like excess movement and/or flex in the floor.

If there's separation between the boards, it sounds like it may have been installed incorrectly. There shouldn't be any separation.
