We have 2000 Seadoo PWC and a new 12volt battery putting out 10.4 volts DC. The chirp when you put the key on is not there. When you push the start button with the key off the lcd does not prompt you with a warning. I don't understand whey there is not power to the ignition. Can anyone help?:(

10.4v is a low-on-charge or bad battery or, less likely, a very heavy current drain on a good or bad battery.
I'd see 10v at the battery terminals when cranking when everything is working, 1/4v less at the starter motor terminals.
A fully charged lead-acid battery with no load reads 12.7v.
If it reads higher there is a surface charge which can be removed by running the headlights for a minute or so.

I agree though, 10.4 volts on a 12 volt battery indicates an issue.....
Put a battery charger on the battery (in your garage) and switch it to the "start" position. That will provide plenty of juice to determine if your problem is the battery, or the starter/starter switch/etc....

What do I know?
If you have a hydrometer handy, and this battery is a lead-acid battery, you can check the thing.
I'll never live this "headlight" thing down.

Thank you all! The battery at 10.4 was the problem. I put the battery on a trickle charge for 2 days and it started right up. It now reads 12.6 volts. with no load on it. Thank you all again.

Did the battery go dead from non-use or because this boat-machine-without-headlights wasn't charging it (if it does have an alternator)?

Probably left the headlights on overnight... LOL
Time to check out that battery - could be a dead cell, which will cause the same problem over and over....
