We have a newborn baby and she refuses to sleep in her room past 5AM....and we're thinking part of the reason is the skylight, which faces east and welcomes the morning sun.
We have a fancy shade ordered but it will be another week or two for delivery. Typically, I'd be patient....but not this time.
Do you have any ideas for a quick fix to block out the sunlight? (The skylight is in a small attic-type room and is slanted.)
Thanks!

Personally, I'd just use a black trash bag and removable painter's tape. Especially for a temp fix while you're waiting for the shade to come in.
Of course, there's always the possibility that you have an early riser on your hands. :)

You can go to Home Depot and get a redi shade (temporary shade that you cut to size) and just tape it there, but I'm afraid the problem is not the light :D . Babies will sleep thru anything when they want and need to. Most babies will wake up early and some just sleep better than others.

Thanks for the shade and baby help. I probably do have an early riser on my hands, but at this point I need to at least try (inexpensively) to eliminate the other possibilities.
