After removing the wallpaper in the bathroom, I've noticed there are several small gaps where the ceiling and the wall meet.

Since I am painting over the finished drywall, should I repairs these areas with tape and j/c?

I can not do crown moulding due to the angles in the walls.

If the gaps are very small (less than 1/4") I would recommend using a bead of caulking around all interior corners. This way as your house and foundation expand/contract over the years there is less chance of the cracks reappearing, as the caulking is more flexible than mud.

If the gaps are larger, or if they run the full length of a wall, you may be better of taping them with paper tape and hot mud.

Good luck,

But if you WANT crown molding, you CAN do it. And you can do it without having to deal with all the angles, by using the plinth block corners made for crown. And you only need a 1 1/2" piece of crown in a bathroom to make it look good. Let us know if you decide to do the crown. We're here. We may be asleep, but we're here.

Thank you both for your replies!

I was just about to caulk the baseboards so caulking the tiny areas in the ceiling would be much easier than mudding for me right now. I just finished with the sanding and boy, what a mess!
