We're moving into a home designed from the early 80's and the main wall in the living room is all mirrored. I'm looking for suggestions on how to remove it. My painter says he can do it but I'd like to save some $$ so I'm open to suggestions.

Tape up the mirrors with maskin tape. Wear leather gloves and safety glasses and you can do one of the following:
1. Try to get behind the mirror with fishing line and try to cut the glue they used to adhere them
2. Smash them out.

What are your thoughts on applying heat? Some people have suggested using a hair dryer? I'm not sure how I'd get the air behind the mirrors.
