Hello-
I have steel baseboard radiators that are factory painted. I would like to paint them with my latex trim color. Can this be done? If so, what type of surface preparation would be required to assure success?
Thank you,
Joe in NH

The radiators are likely painted with oil based paint so you would have to prime well after scuff sanding however the better idea is to go to where you got your paint or a paint store/GOOD paint section (not at a big box store) and have oil based enamel tinted to match your trim paint.then scuff sanding and clean up would be all you need to do.

also latex paint won't hold back any rust if it ever comes into play.
