Just moved into a home with a Pergo (or Pergo-like) entry, and the movers have left it somewhat filthy. I want to clean it without wrecking it. In addition, I have a cat who loves to roll on the cool surface when it's hot out. She is inordinately prone to contact dermatitis (a sort of allergy) so I can't use harsh chemicals. Any recommendations?

i take it no kraft paper was used during the moving? im amazed more and more the inability of contractors to keep stuff neat and clean.

8oz of vinegar in warm water with a well wrung out mop and maybe a dry mop following may work well
