I have a garden near my pool and I recently sprayed it thoroughly with SEVIN Liquid because some plants were having their roots eaten and were dying off. Today ( a rainy day) I have millions of springtails in my pool forming little islands. They are clung to side of the pool wall and jumping into the water to form these little islands. It is crazy to see. Does anyone know what they are doing and if this is a result of my spraying?

Springtails seek moist areas for food. It is not unusual to find large numbers of them in swimming pools, especially if pool lights have been on at night and you've had a dry spell. Outdoors, remove old mulch and do not overwater the mulched areas. If you have had a lot of rain, springtail population may be up. Remember that springtails seek out moist areas. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/IG124
