We have a beautiful wood floor in a room however it is dull alongside our new prefinished Bruse flooring in the hall and we would like it to match it in gloss. Question : Can we paint it with a clear coat gloss what type and what preps will will be needed.

Remove any/all wax or cleaners, sand lightly, remove dust and apply a coat or two of oil base gloss poly.
