I added onto my house (which is stucco), my contractor just finished the stucco and where the old house meets the new they skimmed over the existing stucco with new stucco in order to help it match up better...is this ok? My stucco has been painted before so I am worried that it may not bond.
The contractor may have scored the existing stucco to roughen it up some, if he did this..then would it be ok? I am just trying to prepare for his response...also, are there bonding agents that they can use which will make this ok?
Thanks

Stucco will adhere well to unpainted stucco. If he scored the painted stucco enough [exposed unpainted stucco] it will stick. There are also bondng agents that will help stucco adhere to painted masonary.
