Hi, I have garter snakes that have decided to take up residence down the sides of my inground pool. Are there any ways to either dispose of them or chase them off?

They might be a protected species in your area. To avoid trouble "wit' da' Man" call animal control.

Garter snakes? Protected? Maybe out on the left coast..lol. Gotta be something they don't like....mothballs? a mongoose?

Try a search for controlling garter snakes?

A mongoose, Hmmmmm. Perhaps the mothballs might be a better starting point :)

If you can catch them, box them up and send them to me. Garter snakes are a great thing to have around - just not around the pool. :)

I would try to catch them and transport, not kill them because they are beneficial. OTOH you gotta do what you gotta do.
