So, Im new at this! My husband just bought our first home. It was built in the 1950s. We took the old wallpaper off of our bedroom wall and discover gorgeous real wood walls. The wood is horizontal and unfinished. What do we do with it> I do not have a clue where to even start. Stain it? Put a finish on it? Help please!

Oh my goodness!! Welcome to the forums! Sorry to get so excited, but I'm a nail driver and love unfinished wood like what I imagine you have. If you can completely get the wallpaper off the wood, I would do the very minimal to it as possible. Sand it down if it needs it, apply a clear sanding sealer (stain if you like, but I don't), then clear polyurethane in a semi gloss. What a find!
Our paint gurus will chime in here shortly, so they have excellent advice, too.
Could you post a couple of pictures of the walls on a site such as photobucket.com and give us the urls or copy/paste the HTML code in a reply post? I am sure we all would like to look at this.
