Trying to cut masonite paneling in 2x2 squares. Do not have a table saw and afraid masonite will rip or chip. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Use a circular saw with a fine-toothed blade. You will need a dust mask.

buy 2'x2' "handy panels " or have the lumberyard cut it for you

Fine toothed blade; cut from back side; use a clamped straight edge;set saw only slightly deeper than cut to be made.

You could also finish the edge with a router for a smooth finish.

use a very fine blade in a jig saw. set up some sort of straight edge that is clamped to the masonite and use it as a fence to guide the jig saw. Putting some masking tape on both sides of where you want to cut may minimize tear out... as will using a utility knife to score the cut lines.
