I have a rather old conditioner that I believe to be defective. Is there a way for me to identify it? It has a single salt bin and a single resin tank, with a valve on top. I cannot find any numbers or names anywhere on it. Any help?

Is there a cover on your valve? If so, remove it and look at the cover and the valve. Get a flashlight, maybe a small mirror and look carefully.

Perhaps the tank has some faint imprint of a manufacturer.
