I have a blinds that look like this (http://www.awardblinds.com/products/plantation-faux-wood.html)..that I got from Target
but the blinds are much too long. Is there any way to make adjustments or should I just cut to length and deal with the little bit of a messy look. Width is fine.

Hi! You can cut down the strings and remove the extra slats. Here's how:

On the underside of the bottom rail you'll see a little cap or plug like thing. Remove this (you may need a small screwdriver to pry it out) and pull out the strings that look like little ladder rungs. Then get a tweezer and go up in the hole and pull out the main, lift cord and cut off the knot. Now you can pull the cord up and remove the extra slats. Now take the bottom rail and slide it back thru the next ladder step under your last slat. Then pull the lift cord back down thru the little hole and tie a double knot and push it back up into the bottom hole. Then cut off the excess ladder strings but don't cut too short and push them back into the bottom hole, then plug up the hole with the cap. Of course you'll need to do this for each lift cord.
