A friend had inherited an old Craftsman 10" table saw (model # 113.22170) that her father had bought in the early '90s. She asked me if I wanted it, then entrusted me to find a "fair price". It seems to be in good shape, except for a missing blade guard. It's 2.5 hp direct drive. So far I haven't been able to even find out what it was sold for new, so I thought I'd turn to the wealth of knowledge available on this forum.

Any ideas what would be considered a fair price? I couldn't find anything close on ebay for a reference, so any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jess

IMO, $75 would be fair. I'd be suprised if you got $100 for it unless it was in mint condition.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I had looked at Craftsman's current offers, but it's difficult to compare since the new ones are rated by amps rather than HP. Similar new ones are selling from $90. to $200, and this one is far from being "mint".

Your suggestion lands squarely where I had anticipated, but I wanted another opinion before I made an offer, and I wanted to be sure I was being fair.
Thanks,
Jess

There are a couple on ebay. Starting bid on one is $50. Current bid on the other is $75.
