I'm putting in a bamboo floor over vinal on a 2nd floor kitchen. before starting to use my floor nailer on proceeding rows, do i face nail or glue down the first row of boards? same question for the LAST row...glue or face nail? Thanks for any assistance you can give this novice. Kent

Both, and make sure you use a glue that stays pliable. I think we use PL3000 on most of our floors. The glue keeps it solid, the face nailing keeps it from moving off the line until the glue sets.
As far as how many nails? Depends on what you want. You can nail 3 in a row next to each other from tongue to groove, or use one nail every 3 inches lengthwise.
