Is there a way for me to test my water for TDS or is that something only the pros or a lab can do accurately?

thanks

TDS is one of the easiest water tests you can do. TDS meters, which actually test conductivity, are available on eBay and other web sites. Of course there are different qualities depending on the application and data needed.

Do you have an RO?

no RO, might get one whenever I get a softener installed sometime this year

OK, I'm back after being gone for a while - we want to get the softener & RO installed this month before the cooler, dryer months hit.

Any specific links to a good TDS meter?
Any specific brands and/or models to look for?

Any info is appreciated - posting here or via a PM if anyone doesn't want to mention specific brands

thanks again

Try this web site. These are good meters and not that costly.
