I have a cable wire running across an entranceway (between the front hall and my den with cable tv and it was suggested to me that I buy a plastic threshold to cover this and avoid somebody tripping over the wire. I went to different departments at Home Depot, Ace Hardware and Lowes and could not find anything. I am not a "handyman" but any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the electrical dept of most home/hardware stores there are plastic cable covers that have a self adhesive strip. They will cover and protect the cable and can be stuck to most any hard surface.
