My townhouse was built in 1985 and the popcorn ceiling in my home is not standard. What are the chances that it contains asbestos?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Slim. Asbestos texture was outlawed in 1978 Stock was allowed to be used up so generally anything after the early '80's should be asbestos free.

It means that the other townhouses in my community were not finished off with popcorn by the builders. The previous owners were the one who applied the texture; I'm the 3rd owner.
Thanks again.
