I recently tore out the drywall on my bedroom walls to have some wiring replaced and to insulate the walls. I left the drywall on the ceiling, which is in good condition yet. The ceiling also has an acoustic texturing on it. I'm curious if anyone has any advice and/or suggestions on taping in the new smooth drywall in with the textured ceiling. I've done a bunch of new drywall finishing, but have never tried anything like this. Thanks!

You have a couple of choices,
the correct way is to scrape of the texture near the walls. tape and finsh, then spray texture on to match the old.
It might be simplier to install crown moulding to hide he gap. You could also flat tape the top of the wall and then caulk it to the ceiling when all the drywall finish work is done.
