The HVAC guy took car of it. BTW: This was on a new system that was installed seven months ago when the old HVAC system failed the house inspection before I bought it.

Any ways, it was like this for about 7 months, so, how much has the compressor suffered? I am just curious as to an estimate before the compressor dies from what it had to suffer through. I know the high side was 600 psi and the low side was 125 psi before he recovered the 9.5 lbs of R-22.

Not exactly sure what you are asking.

If you want to know if the compressor would be damaged by operating at 600 psi then I would have to say that yes, its life was likely dramatically shortened.

I know that these guys are probably designed to last 10 years or so with basic maintenance. So, I was trying to ask how long, ballpark figure, do you guys think it will last? Just so I have an idea.

The compressor did finally blow its 20amp fuse due to the pressure.

It's so quiet now, too.

If this is a newer system you probably have a scroll type compressor it has a internal bypass so the pressure probably did little damage. It will probably live long and prosper. At least it passed its torture test so we can say that it is darn good one lol.
