Anyone have any comments on the style of compost bins sold at Home Depot? Here's a link:

Hopefully the link works. They only have one style, but in 2 sizes. My concern is that there doesn't seem to be an easy way to mix your compost.

Thanks Newt. The one you directed me to is actually the same one I was researching last night (looking for the best price). I'm not too sure if I want the UCT7 or UCT9. Do you recommend using a Starter Chemical?

Sam, you are so very welcome! If you have any compost or rich soil, just add a shovel full of that. The idea is to add some good microbes that will start the decomposition process. No need to purchase anything special. You could even purchase a bag of compost and use a shovel full of that.

I built my own Compost Tumbler for about $10. You can check it out at DIY Compost Tumbler (http://www.goodrum.cx/compost_tumbler/index.html) where I documented how I did it. Essentially, it's just a 55 gallon drum on a spindled. Not pretty, but it works!

I have a compost bin and its awesome! I dont know much about Home Depot's composters, but mine is great. Ill find out where I got it from and get back to you, it was pretty cheap too.
