I have a radio dilemma. I work at a store that is all steel. I have a little (crapy) radio to listen to. My favorite radio station is about 70 miles away. In my truck I can receive it just fine and occasionally I can in store. I would like to know how to build an antenna that will work to get me a rather clear signal.

AM or FM?
Either way, the best chance for clear reception is to mount the antenna on the roof. If that's not possible, an 8-inch loop for AM or a TV antenna for FM are the alternatives.
Does the radio station stream on the net?

When I was in the Navy, if you could just get a piece of wire outside the ship (building, in your case), and attach it to the antenna, you had a much better chance of picking something up.
70 miles is a stretch though.
