Good Morning. My query is two fold. 1) I am in the process of trying to remove (separate) the two tubs on this Maytag clothes washer. There was a rattleing sound during the spin cycle, as if there were a marble rolling around. Before I could shut it down, it locked up as if something is wedging the tub. I have gotten as far as removing the agitator (please view Photo Bucket pic link below.), Would the next step be to remove the four bolts displayed it the image?. I was under the impression that a "spanner wrench and a seal tool" would be needed to remove the seal nut prior to removing the inner tub but I see no application to indicate that step. Can you advise the next step please. 2) Can you advise the removal of the "tub rings" that are attached with clips to the outer tub. The information that I have thus far was obtained via internet drawing using the model number of the washer but the drawing and the actual are somewhat different. I am hoping that There is something caught in a gear that I can remove and all will be well.

Take the 4 bolts out and the tub should pull out. Sometimes sticks to seal under tub. Have had them stick so tight that had to break tub to gt out. After tub out than you can use a pair of channel locks on center part. You can see the part I am talking about in your picture. I am usually replacing trans when I do this. But bearing assy is under tub. To replace bearing trans has to come out

Forgot to mention that there is a special tool to remove plastic nut in center but you can do it without it
