I know that I have a leaky freon line. Unfortunately, the line runs two stories up inside my outer wall. Is there any alternative to running a new, unsightly line up the outside of my house. do they make anything that might me more attractive, without the black unsulation hose?
Thanks, Ken

How do we know that the line inside the wall is leaking? If you have a vinyl siding house pull the siding and the sheathing and replace the lines I would not have any type of line running up the outside of my crib.

It's been leak tested in tha attic at the air handler and outside at the unit itself. Neither is leaking so I'm figuring it's somewhere in the wall. Unfortunately, I have hardy plank cement board siding so pulling it off is not that easy.
Thanks for your help.

Unless the lines were originally pieced inside the wall (bad install) it is unlikely that the leak is located there unless of course the little woman is fond of hanging pictures with nine inch nails lol. I would run my nitrogen refrigerant test mix up to the above the recommended 150 psig for testing. I have tested as high as 300 psig even the tiniest leak will magically appear at the higher test pressures. If you read the factory data almost all coils are factory tested to 300 psig. A good heated pentode refrigerant leak detector and proper pressure will make short work of your leak detection adventure and you WILL know exactly what to do from there forward. Note if a field brazed connection blows off during the high pressure test you have just eliminated a future leak problem area GOOD WORK
