Need help with the replacenment of upper variable speed belt. How do I get the engine pully to come down so I can thread belt. Book says to use 9/16 rachet with 6" exrension but doesn't say where. I figured up through the middle of stem, but this takes a 5/8 socket. Also if this is right how do I stop the transmission from turning. Any help will be really appreciated. SHAW

Use the 5/8" socket to remove the engine pulley bolt. Why do you want to stop the tranny from turning?
