I have a 30 year home and the light colored paneling that has turned yellow/orange from cigarette smoke and cooking grease over the years. I would like to darken it to a cherry or mahogany with more of a red tint. Is there a way to restain the wood without streaking?

hi
a don't think you can stain panneling, but you can try washing it down with tsp. it should take of the smoke and grease. then you can try to stain a small hiden spot or just paint it.
