Recently I aqquired an FBI XL-3AUS security panel which I intend to re-use in my house.

The panel came with an LED keypad, but I would like to use one with an LCD in it for feedback, zone description, etc.

So an long search for an appropriate keypad began, and I came across an FBI SK-5LC keypad.

However, the "wiring harness" is missing.

The man who gave me the keypad said that the wires can be soldered directly on the PCB.

I agree with him this can be done, but it would be nice to know the pinout of the onboard 4-pin connector.

I can't find a installation manual or picture of the wiring harness that shows which colors (e.g. black, red, green, yellow) go to the pin's on the PCB.

Anyone here who has the same type of keypad, an installation manual describing the pins, or any other information that helps clearifing the keypad PCB pinouts??

I _think_ that it's red green yellow black, but I can't recall if it's from top to bottom or vice versa. Try just making the connections. Those flying lead connectors are actually kinda easy to find. It's the same one used on most of the Honeywell alarm panels.

All doc's and images from the internet don't actualy show or describe the connector;

The information I found only stated that there are four pins for +, -, DATA IN and DATA OUT, it doesn't describe the order in which the pins are connected.

After reading oscark's post in Ademco 6139 Wiring Question (http://forum.doityourself.com/showthread.php?t=348085);

I compared his pinout with the LED keypad that came with the panel, wich is exactly the same.

So I soldered the wires on the keypad and connected it to the panel, shortend the "reset" loopt and plugged in the power cord...

And it worked! The keypad lit up and complaind about the zones not being OK...duh!

Now I can continue to set up the panel the way I wanted to...with an LCD keypad, thanks everyone!
