Hi:
There is about 2 x 5 Formica Board that is very proximinate to the cooking-area, such as Stove/oven, Toaster and the like. Hence, it starting to get 'dull,' and losing 'shinning' laminating-finish due to partly its age and grease coming from all of the cookings.

I often clean it by using Grease-Eliminating liquid/Spray. However, that does NOT off-set dullness on the surface of Formica Board.

Wonder whether I can paint or any other method to get it re-juvenated?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Paint on plastic laminate kitchen work surface is not a long-term durable option. Wax with auto wax or other product like Gel Gloss.

If you are going to paint it, make sure you scuff it good with steel wool or similar. And make sure you use a suitable primer. The original (not latex) XIM is ideal for that (or used to be, its been a few years). Dont use "KILLS", as many may suggest, XIM is made for slick surfaces, even glass. After it is primed, I would paint it with an oil based paint, since it will be in an area that will get cleaned often.
