We just put in a bunk bed for our 4 yr old daughter. We would like to get some ideas on how to soften the wood around the frame. Meaning...wrap padding and material around the top wood frame so as not to hurt heads. Any solutions or ideas....?

Monica - There is a product called fusible fleece. I would fuse this onto some decorative fabric (maybe the same as you have used for the curtains or sheets) and make a giant "pillow case" that slips over the headboard. If you can't find the fusible fleece at your local fabric store quilt batting will work also. You could start with a set of sheets and sew the padding to the sheets and then make and fit your "pillow case" to go over the headboard. Then when she gets older you can discard the "pillow case" and the wood will not be damaged. Let me know if you have any further questions. Good luck with your project!
