Just changed belts on Murray Select 13.5 Hp/40"cut riding mower. The drive belt keeps jumping off when put in gear. Trying to get info on the Dana Transaxle and how pulley attached. Any help?

Two things I have seen on this unit. Some have rods that keep the belt on the pulley. These should just clear the pulley and often are pushed back to install a belt. Second item I ran into was a crack in the L bracket where the axle attaches to the frame of the unit. When you engage the belt to drive the unit the crack allows the axle to rock and the belt to jump off. Weld and reinforcing the area of the crack solved the problem. The cracks are had to see and often require wheel removal and a good cleaning of the axle mounting area.
