I want to replace the cooler on my roof, but have some questions. The platform and roof jack (or whatever they are called) are rusty and should be replaced. I know adjustable roof jacks are available, but what about the platform or thingy the cooler sits on (it has to have the same roof slope)? And doesn't a new one of those need to be attached to the roof? How do you seal any screws to the roof (it is composition shingles)? And doesn't the cooler need to be attached to the platform to keep from blowing off? How?
