I just started my first compost pile.How long should it take to heat up with daily aeration?
It's in a bin appx. 2' round & it's about 2' deep after wetting it down.

do weekly areation untill it heats up. the heating up depends on the amount of green material. some will start heating up on the second day. use a compost thermometer to check the core temp.
