I have a GE double oven which came with the house when I bought it (which means, I don't have any information about it). I do know that it's a General Electric and the model number is JKP45W0P1 WG.
The problem is that the oven periodically just starts beeping, flashing an error code of F1. Anybody know what might cause this and the fix? Another tid bit, the top oven no longer turns on (doesn't respond to the buttons). However, the bottom oven works fine.
So far our solution for the incessant beeping is to shut off the breaker. Hours later, turn it back on and it works again for a while. Any help is much appeciated!
Thanks in advance,
John

Hi~ I was just looking online and came upon your post and turns out I have the same oven/problem, though both ovens are not working. I wondered how you made out with yours. Did you have it repaired? What caused the problem? I was advised it might be the clock/oven control and I could order the part online either from GE for $5oo or from a repair clinic online for $100 less. Before I do this I'd like to make sure that is the cause. Would appreciate your help as I really can't afford new ovens right now. Help! Thanksgiving is coming ..I don't want to make Turkey in A Crock Pot!!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just don't go ordering parts on some hunch. I am not sure that F1 is, but have a feeling it is the most basic or common of code numbers, as this comes up quite a bit. I do know with non-digital ovens that if the oven clock is set to timed bake, instead of "manual" that the bake and broil elements in the stove will not work until you set it to manual. So, all you may have is a setting issue. Hopefully you get more help here or you call up a dealer who handles your unit and maybe they can tell you what to do.
You don't have a manual on for your unit that can advise you on codes, or tech support phone number, etc.?
