Just inherited this thing. Seems to be missing some sort of screen or plate on the bottom below the flailing blades. Any one have a parts list that might indicate my missing (?) parts.

I see these screens on Ebay pretty regular if yours is the box shaped model roughly the size of a 3 drawer file cabinet. Do a search for "Troy wood chipper".

IF I remember correctly, the screen/guard is optional. It's purpose is to help grind the mulch up better. Without it you will just have bigger mulch pieces.

If your Tomahawk chipper looks like item #260246968717 on Ebay ( I have on connection to this auction, just using it for the pictures) then you need the screen on the bottom for safety's sake. Otherwise large pieces will be flying out the bottom possibly causing injury.

The clutch mechanism disassembled during use and I lost a spacer (part no. W209010023). Can this part be purchased anywhere? Are there suitable substitutes? I'm also due for a new knife and hammers. How can these be obtained? Thanks.

Ron, I can't help you on the clutch parts, but if you haven't done this yet, you can turn the hammers and the chipping knife 180 degrees and use the cutting edges on the opposite sides. Plus they can be resharpened.
