Any way to hide the plumbing portion of this sink:

I am thinking making a box of small pieces of plywood and gluing them on, but that wouldn't look too good nor it'll be something that a plumber can open if a problem arises. Safety is a concern too for kids.

How about a fabric sink skirt? Looks attractive, easy to attach (sticky tape or velcro) and open. If you sew or know someone that sews, I can give you directions or you can buy them. Here's a couple links I found:

looks great, but it'll fail for sure when it comes to keeping kids away from the area. It might become there favorite spot for hide n seek.

A basket beneath the sink could serve a dual purpose of camouflaging the pipes as well as provide additional storage.

actually, the adhesive Velcro strips hold more securely than you'd think. and if you make the skirt, make it in 2 halves, and overlap them in the front for easy access. you can store rolls of TP, etc under there. if it's full of stuff, the kids won't want to hide under there. also, telling the kids "no" works.
