1990 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 165000 miles

I FORGOT TO ADD IN MY EARLIER QUESTION!!!! I have a 1990 chevy k1500 with a 350 5.7 liter engine. i can hear a noise while you are inside the vehicle. its sounds like its coming from the center area of the dash near the floor. possibly in front of the 4x4 shift lever. its sounds like a rattling noise but not of a metal orgin. its not the blower motor either. THE NOISE SEEMS TO CHANGE AS YOU ACCELERATE.The transmission is 3 months old so i don't think the noise is coming from there. Could it be in the transfer case? The noise almost sounds like something rolling around inside the blower cage but i checked that.

any suggestions

Something didn't get dropped down the cowl at the base of the windshield did it?
