Hello, my top loader Kenmore clothes washer won't go into spin cycle. It fills up with water and washes and then once the knob gets to the spin cycle it just turns off and all of the water remains... Any ideas on how I can fix this?

sounds like a lid switch. you idn't give a model # so I don't know what model you have. If the machine is less than 3 years old check for loose hinge screws on lid. older units have lid switch on right side of lid with a plastic pin that operates the switch. That type the switch usually breakes the screws off. need to be replaced.
