Hello,

Have an old Ariens rider w/ a Tecumseh 6hp (TMV140). Looses power when I get into higher grass or going up hill w/ blade turning. Any ideas on any adjustments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

With only 6 hp, you don't have a lot of power to start with. If this is the rear engine rider I'm familiar with, it never was a great machine for high grass or hill climbing, but You can try putting in a new air filter, new plug and change the oil to maximize what you have, and try to not let the grass get too tall if you can.

Thanks,

Will try replacing the airfilter...plug and oil's new. I know 6hp isn't much but it seems like a govenor issue to me. It is a rear motor mower. It was given to me.

Thanks again.
