I am having a house built in northeat Houston by Meritage homes.
The post tension slab was laid a couple of weeks ago and the framing has begun. All of the walls have been framed and about 3/4 of the roof has been framed.
Well, as all anxious homeowners do, I drove past the location this evening so I could walk through after all the workers were gone.
When I got there, two workers were on scene messing with the corners of the slab. I noticed that at least two corners of the slab were completely removed about 2 feet back from the edge of the corner. All of the tendons were sticking out. Upon further inspection, it appeared that at least two other corners were removed and re-concreted in.
I tired to inquire of the workers what they were doing, but of course, they only spoke spanish, or pretended to only speak spanish. The construction manager did not return my call, but he never does any dang way!
Can anyone tell me what could possible be going on with this? I'd like to be armed with a little more information before I talk with the construction manager.
