I replaced a broken LYNX keypad (broke the backup battery terminal). After putting the new one in (used from ebay) it says ready and status says "ready to arm" but when I enter my code and stay/away nothing happens. (the keypad beeps when I hit the code but doesnt make a sound when I hit the away or stay buttons. Any ideas?

An alarm instalkler told me that all I had to do was swap the keypads out and it would work since the programming is stored in the box, not the keypad....

The lynx systems are an all in one unit--the keypad, dialer and brains are in that one unit. You will need to default the panel, program in you zones and fobs. You will also have to program in your code and enter in your receiver # and account # if monitored.

Thanks
I guess I have to make a service call. Not familiar with programming.
