Hello,

I want to resurface my old poured concrete floors in the basement. They are in relatively good shape, but old and worn. The basement is used as a wood shop, so it does not have to be perfectly level or beautiful. Just a thin coat to spruce up the place.

I am concerned about how clean the floors need to be in order to have Quikrete Concrete Resurfacer bond successfully. I have a 2000 psi power washer and would rather not rent one with a more psi. I have removed spilled paint and washed the floor/power washed the floor multiple times. Am I worrying too much? A call to Quikrete said I could get by with rigorous hand washing (since it is indoors and no drain), but everything I read cautions about a perfectly prepped floor. As you can imagine, this is not something I would want to have to redo!

Thanks in advance,

Deke

It sounds to me like the manufacturer gave you the proper advice. What else can someone on the 'net do to improve it?
